“In typical art shows, you purchase the artwork and wait for it come to you,” said Clint Stone, executive director. “What’s unique about this event is that it’s all about luck of the draw, and if you win something, you can go and pull the artwork right off the wall.”

Attendees can buy $50, $75 or $100 tickets to be put into a pool to be drawn to win a piece of art. If chosen, the person has 30 seconds to pick one piece of artwork out of the 200 works being donated by Oklahoma artists.

All of the proceeds will be used to fund the year-round programming at IAO. “It’s a really enjoyable event for everyone,” Stone said. “It’s a wonderful way for the artist and art collector to meet in an informal and fun setting.”

The event runs from 7 to 10 p.m. at the gallery, 706 W. Sheridan.

Admission is $10, which includes hors d’oeuvres and sweets. For more information, call 232-6060 or visit iaogallery.org. —Courtney Silva
