Superintendent Karl Springer has made a friendly wager with his Miami counterpart, Alberto Carvalho, over the outcome of the NBA Finals pitting the OKC Thunder against the Miami Heat.

If the Heat prevail, Springer has agreed that, once school resumes, he would wear a Heat T-shirt for a day, as well as teach a class on Florida history.

If the Thunder wins, however, Carvalho would don a Thunder shirt for a day and teach a class in — wait for it — Oklahoma history.

“I have full confidence in our team,” Springer said, “and this is a great chance for Floridians to learn more about Oklahoma City and our state.”

Damn. Because Chicken-Fried News really wanted to learn about Carvalho’s wife.
