Winter Cocktails

Here are two cocktails sure to warm you up on those cold days.

The Avalanche, by Emma Torres of 1884

1.5oz Stranahan’s blue label
dash of Peychaud’s bitters
3/4iz Naranja Orange liqueur
2 tsp brown sugar
1 lemon
1 luxardo cherry

Measure 2 tsp. of brown sugar & squeeze 1/4 lemon into cocktail shaker. Stir until dissolved.
Add ice, 3/4 oz orange liqueur, 1.5 oz stranahans blue label, and 1 dropper of peychaud’s bitters. stir until cold.
Strain into coupes glass and garnish with a lemon wheel and cherry.

1.5oz Bushmills Original
.5oz cream sherry
1oz fig shrub *recipe below
.5oz fresh lemon juice
2 dashes angostura bitters

*Fig Shrub Recipe
10oz fig preserves
5oz (1:1) simple syrup
5oz water
2.5oz sherry vinegar
Blend until smooth and strain
Shaken and served up in a glass of choice
